Hello tia I’m currently running sync 3.0 20204 can you advise me of what version of 3.4 I should upgrade to please as I have heard the latest version may not work on my 2017 Ford Focus 1.0 eco boost st line

Where did you hear that?.
If your car is stock, it will work.
Only issue with Focus is that most 3.4s will produce some screen flickering when adjusting the screen’s brightness, this is a known issue for Focus and Kuga that’s not been solved.
You can however go to 3.4.19101, which is the last build to have auto brightness toggle active. This way you can disable it, and the screen won’t flicker (nor auto change brightness)
If you do not mind about flickering, go to the latest 3.4 build available.
Flickering is one of the top reasons as to why I’m still running 3.0.
I’d suggest to go with reformat update to the latest and greatest version. If everything/functionality is fine - you are in luck, stay on this update level. If you will face screen (or other) issues, downgrade to 19101.
