Sync 3 Black Screen after RW Data Clean

Hello,

I tried to update a sync module today. Since I got the ERR12 message, I tried the RW Cleaner from the Syn3Updater app. So I put on a USB stick with the RW Cleaner and plugged it in. But the sync turn off. After about 10 minutes I restarted it manually. Unfortunately the display is now black and apparently the entire sync module is too. In any case, it cannot be reached via forscan. I also don’t have display backlight.

So i think its Bricked now?
Is there a possibility to recover it
If its not allowed maybe can someone pm me with a Solution (flashing or so)…

On Bench unit draws about 0.277A if thats helpful anyway
Also tried another “Mainboard”? from an good 2020 unit and it works again.

Is ther a possibility to recover the other “bricked” one?

What did you try to do?, did you use Syn3updater to create the USB?.

I apologize, I have now reverted the APIM to the old ‘motherboard’ and still had no video output. Then I took the API and rotated it, and suddenly I had a picture. Apparently, there is something wrong with the hardware. I apologize sincerely for the unnecessary post.

Oh, don’t worry about it, good thing there’s some kind of progress.
That would make more sense than the RW data cleaner bricking an unit.

And I agree with you, it seems HW related.
