Sync 3 carplay won't work

My Sync displays “The Apple device cannot be accessed via USB at this time” I tried different original apple cables, I tried USB HUB from my car to a diferent car and it works fine, I did a master reset, still getting the same massege, Andoid auto works fine

If android auto works, then it’s either:

bad cable
not supported hub for CP ( Media Hub, CarPlay Compatible - 2015-2020 Ford/Lincoln - SYNC 3 )
some other environmental configuration, such as not having unpaired the devices or master reset

What model/year is your car and what model/year is the car you tried the media hub in?

What build of 3.0.x were you on before you upgraded to 3.4.x?

I know there are plenty of folks out there that say you don’t need to have Sync3 at 2.2+ (where CarPlay support was added) if its at 1.0.x before you reformat and go to 3.4.x, but based on my experience something in 2.2+ gets written to the APIM OS. Its not just an app/voice update.

That’s right, but it affects/enables Android Auto as well… So if Android Auto works, I would say CP should as well…

That’s incorrect.
AA support was added in 2.0.16074 in Q2/2016, it was enabled in the 2017s from the factory and they also had the new version of the media HUB that supported AA/CP.

I think the point was that he was on 3.0 before, so he would have presumably skipped 2.0/2.2 so if Android Auto is working it’s unlikely to be due to missing the 2.x updates
