Unless I am missing something your 2018 Ford would have had sync 3.0.20204 or similar originally and you updated through Cyanlabs to 3.4.21265 and then to the latest version 3.4.23188?
Obviously Ford would say the sync module was bad or whatever as your vehicle did not come with sync 3.4 originally from the factory as it didn’t come out until 2020 to my knowledge and dealers cannot upgrade it.
Once you go down the Cyanlabs track with updates you cannot go back to the Ford profile or dealer updating methods anyway and I would think that would apply to maps as well as their maps would be designed for the earlier version 3.0 sync3 in your case.
Your future software and (free) map updates will now need to be done through Cyanlabs as you eventually did in this case.
Pity you cannot get a refund from Ford for their maps.
