I saw someone had this issue a few months ago but i did not see a solution. does anyone have a solution to this?

just installed sync 3 and updated to the latest version.

Your APIM module is looking for a DSP.

Very first digit of the APIM programming

7D0-01-01 X***--

Change the X to one of the following depending on how your vehicle is set up.

0 = No DSP No SiriusXM
2 = No DSP with SiriusXM

So its the searching for a DSP causing this??
After just reading on another forumn someone said it was the (TVK) type of volume knob… my car had a rotary knob but the donor radio came from a car with a horizontal knob. do you think this could be an issue as well?

No, it’s the DSP search issue I mentioned above.

Horizontal/Rotary Volume display has nothing to do with it.
