I have recently updated the maps on my Ford Sync 3 system using the CyanLabs Syn3 Updater. While the installation process seemed to go smoothly; the updated maps are not appearing on the system. It still shows the previous version; even after a reboot.
I confirmed that the files were downloaded correctly & used a compatible USB drive for the update. Could it be an issue with the system recognizing the update / do I need to perform a master reset?
Additionally; is there a way to verify if the update was partially applied? I have checked Sync 3 updateMinitab guide for reference .
Any tips or advice from others who’ve successfully updated their maps would be great!
You ALWAYS need to do a master reset.
A bit more info about you vehicle model, year, version of Sync you started on helps us answer questions when they are posted.
There’s missing information… how did you upgade the maps?..
If you tried an autoinstall, I’m guessing you have a partial upgrade done due to not following the guide…
But I do not like playing the guessing game, so provide the USB log for the USB you used for upgrading, and also create, run and share an interrogator log with us. Redact the VIN from the file’s name and content if you care about it.
