To be concluded from this little project, it seems if you get black screen/no boot on your sync 3 apim but FORScan can still see it, then the data board is shot and at the price of known good apims right now vs unknown chinesium data boards it’s not worth the risk.
Also all fusions 2013+ with the sync 2, don’t need a repin. I’ve got a new APIM installed and it works perfectly. Pulled out of a 2018 ford raptor
