Sync 4 inch to sync 3 conversion

“I recently upgraded my 2017 Ford Expedition’s sync 4 inch system to Sync 3 with navigation. Everything seems to be working fine, except for the microphone. When I make calls, the person on the other end can’t hear me, but I can hear them. Also, I can hear music through Bluetooth, also the volume icon doesn’t appear on the screen. However, I am able to adjust the volume using the steering wheel controls and the manual knob. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix these issues?” ps i used a f150 harness

This is a common issue with the pre-2018 Expeditions, well documented on the Expedition and Superduty websites. There is a TSB on this but I don’t remember what it was.
