This looks good. You have enough storage to update without any issues there.
Good news.
Do I use the default automatic or change to autoinstall Force Install Mode?
Thank you!
Just use the default automaticā¦
I have a non-navigation APIM, āLā series so itās very new, and used the tool here with no issues. I didnāt make any changes to the settings.
the issue with my20 cars is more the screens in them than the APIMs, the screens need different drivers and the reformat tool doesnāt have these drivers hence they are locked at a blakc screen.
Hello @CyanLabs,
I have a question on the same subject: Risk of Brick in Ford Update with CyanUpdater:
My vehicle:
Ford Tourneo Custom Titanium X
Sync 3 software version 3.4 Build 20136
Navigation map version: F8
Year: 2020
Month: 03
Generation: 2019.75MY
Is there also a risk of downgrading, reformatting and updating to the latest software and MapsF10?
Thank you and best regards, stay healthy
Ronny
If your vehicle came with 3.4 from the factory then it is very likely to brick during a reformat. I would suggest waiting for the new version of the updater app which will include an option for AutoInstall of maps with MY20 protection.
If you wish to try this out now you can switch to the Ci build of the updater.
Thank your very much @avdonr for your fast and professional answer.
When the car was delivered, 3.4.XXX was installed.
I donāt remember exactly. The dealer said, he has still updated. So whether 3.3. was installed I canāt say that safe.
I had then updated by myself to 3.4.20186.
Now I have switched to CI. After switching to CI, I downloaded and installed the 2.5.8.170.
I will test it with the option MY20 and give you a report of course here,
Best Regards
In Addition:
This is my current configuration taken from the xml.
Perhaps @F150Chief @avdonr it could be helpful to get the information about the apim or displayā¦
Sorry now i see thatās not allowed for me as an new User to upload filesā¦
You should be able to upload files now.
Sync_NZ2E00VR_WF03XXTTG3LA25893.xml (11,1 KB)
