Having read a few of the comments it seems like the latest version may cause an issue where the scrren flickers.

As far as I remember, only Kuga and Focus. There’s no solution on 3.4 for that, other than running a very old 3.4 in which you can disable the auto adjusting brightness .

I also drive a Focus and I’m still running 3.0 because I’m a heavy Android Auto user, I do not care about Sync3 itself that much.

For 3.4 you have the latest via Syn3updater via reformat if you can reformat the unit (you can’t go back to 3.0).

for 3.0 you can manually follow this guide for EU → Sync 3.0.20204/23219 with EU 2.21 (F11) or EU 2.22 (F12) or EU 2.23 (F13)/EU 2.24 (F14) Map Installation

Whats the best wireless adapter to use for both Apple Car Play and Android Auto?

I can’t answer that since I only use Android Auto, so I got a Moto MA-1 that works very well.
