Unable to validate 5U5T-14G391-CS_1660783942000.TAR.GZ with Syn3 Updater

I am trying to update my 2017 Focus ST with Nav from 3.0.19205 (North America) to 3.4.22251 and I am presented with that error message every single time. I have tried multiple USB sticks and ports. If I uncheck the Voice 5U5T-14G391-CS Package, the USB creation proceeds to completion. I don’t have a log file saved on the USB, this is all that shows in the Log section of the Downloads tab in the Syn3 utility.

SYNC Region: NA

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Install Type: OEM

Old SYNC Version: 3.0.19205

New SYNC Version: 3.4.22251

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

I’m sure there was a message posted along the lines of Azure servers at Ford having a hangover, you’ll have to try again later.

Servers had issues some days ago, but as far as I know the should be ok now… maybe, maybe not…

I’ve tried downloading that file and I do not have issues

But, I’m from South America.

So try this: configure a single download thread in syn3udpater instead of multiple ones and try again.

Also, based on your log, it is failing while validating the file BEFORE creating the USB, so this is something related to either:

  • the servers
  • your computer
  • your internet connection

I think I figured it out.

Apparently when I made my post it recognized the file name and left a link behind (smart feature!), which I was able to follow to download the file. I dropped it in my Syn3 directory and now it doesn’t have to download it and everything is validating fine. Just waiting for the files to transfer to USB.

Thanks all.

This points to your connection or Ford’s servers not liking the multithread download Syn3updater uses… that’s why I suggested earlier to force Syn3updater to use a single download thread… When you download the file via a browser, it uses a single connection…

Glad it worked.

 I try to make useful features :joy:
