Updated and when reboots asks for usb stick to install

Hi all.

Updated the firmware a few times and all went well.

Now wanting to update from 3.4.21265 to the latest 3.4.22110

EU maps F11 etc etc

USB done…following process as instructed and when it goes through the last part of the update…it states remove USB and system will reboot…no chance to do a Master Reset…and then it starts from the beginning …tried to reinstall the older 3.4.21265 with the lastest maps on the 3rd attempt and it continues to do it…any ideas what’s gone wrong and how to resolve it ?

Are you following the auto tutorial ?
Do you have an image of the error?
Not sure what do you mean…

if it states this on the green screen then remove the USB as instructed by my guide.

It can’t repeat the process if you don’t reconnect the USB Drive so clearly you are re-inserting the USB drive for some reason.

Just went through the process again…you are correct - it greenscreened with Remove USB message…then the screen booted and said to re-insert USB…

The bit that got me confused on your guide :-

Is point 4…as that was the screen I was looking for…

Totally sorted.

Just shows how much of a crappy day I’m having.

I think the greenscreen disappears after some time as tried this update while at work, and for the first few attempts…no green screen…on the 4th there was…and I followed the screen instructions rather than your instructions.

Then 5th attempt did exactly as you said…Bingo works perfectly.

Stupidly I’ve done this 3 times before…but just goes to show…read the instructions and have time to focus on it…i was doing multiple things and messed it up.

It happens i’ve flashed the wrong car firmware to my car a while ago (the car wouldn’t stop) , luckily a few deep breathes after panicking and i flashed the correct firmware and it worked again.
