Updated SYNC 3 2.318095 to Sync 3.4.23188 My 4" sscreen is now cropped and not much works

I have a 2018 Ford F150. updated SYNC 3 2.318095 to Sync 3.4.23188 update happened without a hitch except now My 4" screen is now cropped and not much works. I have a line on a new 8" screen ACM/APim and bezel from a MY20 ford. If I remove all original equipment and install new Equip. from the MY2020 will my privious screwups affect the new instalation?

looked for files couldn't find any.  sorry I am not as savy as others in this stuff.

There are many reports of this scenario, essentially you have installed a 8" OS on your 4" screen, you will need to reinstall the 4" software. There are many topics covering this on our forum already.

However if you wish to go to 8 Inch setup you can but if the unit is MY20 you won’t be able to use reformat functions without jailbreak

On top of what’s already been said, it’s a good time for you to save your current asbuilt to apply it to your new APIM should you decide to replace it.
