The software worked great with my wife’s Lincoln MKX 2016.
I would like to use the software in the future for another Ford vehicle we have. I have a 2022 Ford Mustang GT. I was told the software won’t work with MY 2020 and newer. Any insight would be appreciated.

What software? You have said you used official ford method, DO NOT USE THE USB ON A 2020+ CAR
We will never support reformat mode in my20 cars unless another ford reformat tool is leaked. So to answer your question no idea
That said autoinstall mode works fine on my20 cars, make sure to use different profiles in the app if using multiple cars
You are right. To this point I had used Ford’s free Sync Updates and just downloaded my 1 free map update. I was just thinking about the future. I understand that there are no plans for now on MY2020 and newer unless the new Ford reformat tool is leaked.
