2017 Ford Focus Sync3 2.2 Interrogator issue

So i wanted to install 3.4, but i wanted to check everything before doing so. I tried to use Interrogator Utility and it won’t complete. The message “Updating system software…” is on the screen for hours. I tested 2 usbs, one being some random old one, and the other being Kingston 3.0 64gb. Even after removing the USB, the message stays there. Only when i turn the sync off and on, it dissappears. The same happens with WiFi installation. It keeps searching for an update forever, even after turning the WiFi off. I tried master reset, it didn’t help. There is only one file on my USB after the test.

interlog 20260331190101

Inside, it says this:

InterrogatorLog() +
CopyInterrogatorLog +

I’ve never done this before and only recently did i get this car, so it’s possible that i did something wrong, but still, the whole thing seems really weird. I don’t feel confident updating my system when i can’t even get system information.

Will the unit update to the current 3.0 build supplied by Ford for your VIN?

Truthfully, i haven’t even tried, considering i can’t even get the interrogator tool to work. I’ve heard that even the official update can brick your system… i am kinda scared

Cyanlabs uses the Ford files off the Ford servers. There is no differance.

Ah, thank you for letting me know, maybe it’s better to keep 2.2 and not risk it

I’d try doing an incremental to 2.2.17011

Make sure NOTHING else is plugged into a USB port but the flash drive.

I will try to if i get enough confidence to do so haha, thank you

Use the -AC interrogator file…the newer files have issues with the older Sync versions.
