Recently, Carplay quit working on my head unit. Ive tried to update via wifi and ford and unable to check for updates. Tried to update to 3.4 and keep getting INSTL_ERR12. Have done the reboot through forscan, SR-SR-MR as well. Even tried the RW Data cleaner and get the same message. Any ideas?

Sorry new to all this. I was trying that after the failed updates. Get the INSTL_ERR12 no matter what I do.
Do you have the USB installation log? Could you run the Interrogator Utility and post the XML here?

Interrogator fails as well. Get same Error message
Where did this installation fail? Did you get to the reboot and the reformat screen? Or did it fail right after you put in the USB stick?

Okay. It’s fails immediately. I get the screen to confirm update then instantly get an error. Even tried the OEM update via ford on usb.

Rwdata issue does not apply to 3.0.
