Morning guys,
this week the sync3 on my transit Custom failed after 2 months without any problems, in may i did an upgrade to Sync 3.4 and it worked flawless.
Last week we went on a trip to toscane, italy and the screen blacked out after startup.
Already did a Soft reboot ( started up once normal so i did a hard reset, worked fine again)
the next time i started the van same thing happend, logo…black screen.
Then i tried battery disconnection for 24 hrs, nothing happend still start up logo and then the black screen.
tried to insert the usb to do a fresh install, nothing happens, startup…logo…black screen.
just for further info, i do have FM radio and with the fwd button i am able to choose a different station.
power button works, on/off/volume just like the buttons on the steering wheel, i do have usb working cause android auto connects but doesnt show anything, music is played by spotify.
when i press the settings button on the sync3 after a few seconds my sync shows a map from my hometown and starts moving when i drive the van but it never leaves my howe town.
havent got my obd cable with me so i cant look into the car diagnostics at the moment,
i have seen previous messages about the same problem but never found the answer, if anyone knows how to handle this issue please share it with me.
