Android auto isnt working after sync 3.4 updat

I succesfully updated to 3.4 last weekend, everything went well; as soon as the update was over and the system rebooted i did a master reset as instructed. I reconnected android auto and when i plug the phone in android auto app comes up for up to a minute tops then it exits android auto again. It does however continue to charge the phone. It did this when i was on sync 3.0 as well but id atleast get 10-15 minutes of run time out of it and i was hoping the update would fix the issue. What i have done so far: clean usb ports on the phones and the car as well as the cable its self with compressed air, tried multiple cables, cleared android auto history, deleted android auto all together and reinstalled. I have not tried another master reset yet because i cant see that helping since i just did one last weekend. Any advice? Id love to be able to start using gps on my screen again.

Are there any updates available for your phone? There has been an AA update very recently

eAt the moment Android auto is at version 7.9.122643/4,(APK) depending on the phone model. Try the application, compose the parameters and restart and return to the car. If you have more than one USB input, change it. It happened to me. Good luck!

Make sure to fully remove your phone from the car, and your car from the phone, Bluetooth, paired phones in AA etc…

I tried a secpnd usb with the same result. The current verison of android auto is 7 7 622134. I updated the app and this is the version that it is saying now

The USB cable often makes the difference. Not all cables are suitable, in addition to having a maximum length of 1 meter. Try the experience in another vehicle, with your cell phone.

I removed bluetooth connections on both my phone and the sync 3. Then i unistalled android auto from my phone but when i went to reinstall it it just said update not install; so im not sure it fully uninstalled.
Anyways i updated android auto and reconnected everything and it worked for about 10 minutes and started doing to same thing. We have tried multiple cables and they were all short cables with no luck yet.

Your USB hub is probably faulty then

Thats what im leaning towards especially since this happened prior to update as well. So should i buy a new one from ford? Or is there something that is a better alternative to buy?

Only doubt i have about it being the usb plug is i tried both ports with the same result

Thanks for the link, my escape has a single usb infront of the shifter and a second single one in the center console. So if im reading this right ill need 1 of the first part numbers listed in the attached post but is shows a double usb-a connector. Can i install a double inplacr of a single?

Yes and No. You need a single PASS THRU if you want to use the USB in the console, but you can replace the one in the dash with a double and the console USB will be non-functional.

What year and trim level is your Ford Escape? I have never seen a listing for the single pass-thru on an Escape or Kuga.

I have a 2019 sel. I wouldnt mind doing a double outside since i never use the one in the console anyways up until this issue started happening
