APIM not compatiable Issue ?

I’m currently running SYNC 3 on my Gen 2 (2017), Although when i checked the APIM Number on the Software it says it’s not compatiable to Update to Sync 4 ?

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

This is a reference to Sync 3 MY20+ vehicles, not Sync 4.

Ford will never offer an upgrade to SYNC 4. It’s not even an option with Ford.

Yes i understand that, I was going to update it to SYNC 4 and am wondering if it’s still safe to do so without blocking my APIM.

This has nothing to do with upgrading to Sync 4. It will have zero effect on your Sync 3 APIM no matter what you do.

That upgrade path is impossible. You can only upgrade a Sync 3 APIM to the newest Sync 3 version.

I misunderstood your opening message. Syn3updater works for Sync3.
Sync4 is a different platform (both hardware and software) handled over OTA updates.
