Audio clarity and quality decreased after updating from 3.0 to 3.4.23188

Recently i updated my sync from 3.0 to 3.4.23188…it was easy and quick. The upgrade was awesome and my sync is more responsive now and the navigation in Small screen is very usefull. But i can see few differences comparing to stock ford official sync software to this unofficial one…the main major problem that i have with this is audio quality and clarity…immediately i can see difference…especially the bass is significantly reduced and the clarity as been compromised…i have tried everything…from playing different format of music files like flac, wav to master reset severel times…but the problem is still there…so please can you show me any solution for me…or any chance is there to rollback to previous version

A few clarifications:

Only official Ford packages can be installed, you installed the official 3.4 from Ford, Syn3Updater is just a facilitator since Ford didn’t want your unit to have 3.4.

I’m sure you read the extensive documentation where it’s clearly stated in multiple places that’s not possible to go back to 3.0…

And a question that is relevant: is your vehicle 100% stock in all aspects?. Are you the first owner of the car?.

What year and model vehicle?
Are you playing the flac, wav, etc files from a USB drive or from your phone via a USB cable?

Yes…my car is stock…and im the second owner

From the usb…but from the phone the sound is ok…not good from usb. I mostly listen songs from usb

I’m not trying to be picky, but unless you are really close to the first owner, you can’t really assure the unit is stock. I mean, it’s stock for you, but can you be sure the original owner didn’t change something?.

If that’s the case, the update may had reverted some asbult configuration to defaults, hence the issues you are noticing.

I’m not saying it’s the case , but it’s worth mentioning it.

How old is the USB drive and what is the file format?
exFAT tends to perform better as the file system was designed\created for mobile devices.

But the previous owner was my uncle…he didn’t change anything he maintained it stock

The usb is brand new…sandisk one…im not sure about format

Do something simple, grab a USB you have laying around, format it to exFAT and then drop one of your FLACS or mp3s on it and try it.
My Fusion was Sync 3 native and its on 3.4.23188/NA224 at the moment, I tried an old Verbatim store and stay with both file formats without any issues. My mp3s are ripped at 320k
