Battery drain and u0184 code

I just recently had my 2017 Ford escape battery replaced with an original motorcraft and I’m still having a battery drain issue and also when I ran on the forescan demo it showed error code u0184. Could there be something possibly wrong?

SYNC Region: NA

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Install Type: OEM

Old SYNC Version: 3.0

New SYNC Version: 3.4

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
No error messages currently just started having a battery drain out of nowhere I don’t know if it’s being caused by this since I have that error code

Update Method: CyanLabs Manual Method

Could be 1 of 100 things. Nothing to do with Cyanlabs updater though.

Nothing plugged in to the 12v port such as a dashcam or phone charger?

Did you have a drain issue with the previous battery?

Yeah, I had a drain issue with the prior battery but I was thinking it was from the cold weather and snow. I’ve done a downgrade and reupgraded it and seeing now.

Forgot to answer. Yes I do have a dash cam but I do unplug it every night

Ok…but do you unplug it every time you stop somewhere?

The 12v port is always live as you are probably aware and it is surprising how much it can drain the battery if not unplugged when not driving as it continues charging the dashcam.

If you leave it plugged in for a few hours or whatever whilst at work or somewhere else it takes a while for the main battery to be recharged to it’s previous level whilst driving.

I have the same model Escape as you and I always unplug my dashcam when cutting the engine temporarily anywhere. In my case the dashcam has a built in battery for park mode.

Sorry for the late reply. I unplug it at the end of my work which I dash so I rarely keep my vehicle off for long. Yeah ford should of made these outlets like asian vehicles. I recently found out a ground strap was loose so Im hoping that has been the issue and I also upgraded again to the latest version of sync

Ok…please keep us updated re the result as it helps others here.

Will do
