Actually that is a misleading. You still get certain safety chimes in Dark Mode in the US, it is required. For EU it is slightly different depending on the model and year.
Thank you so much, I finally had some time in the forums over the last few hours to do some research.
The PKG_ERROR4 error occurs when the USB stick is plugged back in too soon after the Sync 3.4 update, because the files on the stick are blacklisted with the same version. So the update was successful and no action is required.
The error message in Forscan is probably just a security check by Forscan. In my case, Forscan detected a Sync 3 module, and the 3.4 update is compatible because the later version numbers aren’t relevant.
So I can confirm this message and will check tomorrow if I can now find the desired settings in the APIM module that were missing in version 3.0.

Look in the BCM for the Dark or Silent mode and activate it if needed. The APIM setting just activates the menu, not the feature.
