Ford sync 3 not updating

Hey everybody, im having some trouble with updating to the latest sync version, when ever i plug my USB into my truck it will restart my system then tells me that the update is complete, then just restarts my screen. or it will just throw a INSTL_ERR12 on the screen. I’ve tried doing the RW data cleaner and it just does the same thing. restarts the system. any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi.
Something is wrong, you are giving contradictory information.

Fix that and it should work, also avoid 22251.

Hey sandman, i am not sure what my old sync version actually is. i used the updater from cyanlabs a while ago to update to the latest version witch was 3.4.22251 at the time

So your current version is 22251?.
If so, you need to follow this guide to resolve the bug that’s preventing you from upgrading → APIM Sync Settings Not Saving, VER_ERR08 Errors, Cannot Perform Master Reset or Upgrades/Updates (Solved)
If none of those work, sadly, we do not have anything else to recommend at the moment.

ok thank you

Try creating an interrogator log, if it succeeds share the xml with us.
But if the official rwdata cleaner works, you will have to try the alternate methods.
