That will be in the asbuilt menu, not firmware.
OK that didnt make a difference, I rewrote the unchanged, still rebooted every 30 seconds.
What did work is that I tried again I tried GB5T-14G374-CB and that worked! I could then update to 2.2.17011 via a cyanlabs USB update.
So will think about what do do from here as then Display is working much better now.
You could go to Sync 3.0.20204 or the latest 23219 via autoinstall. DO NOT use the Ford supplied scripting for the autoinstall file.
If you could, run the Interrogator Utility again and post the xml here so we can check it.

So in this case I’d to program custom, select calibration file, and the ECU files and write those?
Did you start ForScan and use a saved profile?
When you do a mod like this you want to have it load fresh.

You need to reinstall Sync 3.0.17011 or 17109 with the overlay delete script (HB5T-14G387-AAB) in the autoinstall file. The state of your APIM now will never work right.

You will need to download the JL7T files and make a usb with a SyncMyRide folder, place all the files in there. Place the autoinstall file in the USB root.
Remove the USB when finished.
Let the update finish and the unit will reboot.
Once the unit is rebooted, master reset.

OK will try this later today, I assume i have to update the names to match the actual tgz’s I downloaded from the APIM software archive.

ok I double checked everything and something worked, but looks like not all the files updated. Reran the interrogator:

Looks fine. Got rid of the overlay…
Now if you have maps to install you can do that if you want to stay with Sync 3.0.

Auto update does not really work on Sync 3.0…
How does the APIM and Sync run now?
seems to work but I cannot clear the errors, checksum and init errors, you can disreguard the camera error this is where I’m at:
Drop your factory AB back in, that will let you clear the initial config DTC.
Nothing out of the ordinary here… like Warlock said, load your factory asbuilt, should clear all that up. Master reset after.

OK seems to be working fine here, I want to upgrade further, what do I need? Do I need to upgrade the USB? Should I goto Sync 3.0.20204 first? Should I wait to update maps, or does that come in the upgrade?

For Sync 3.0, version 23219 is the latest. Otherwise it would be upgrading to Sync 3.4.
If you plan on staying with Sync 3.0, you should update that to 23219.
