I have just updated to Sync 3.4 & navigation is not working

Installation flowed seamlessly, devices connected & configured as required and the error ‘Navigation is not functioning properly. Please visit dealer for service’ appears when Navigation is selected: all other functionality is as it should be. The new version appears in the ‘about’ screen. The vehicle was left running throughout the install.

Well, do it… It’s there for a reason as the last step, and most likely the reason you faced the issue initially…

And also, stop replying from your email or exclude your number, I won’t be editing your private number for ever…

Hi: great service, thank you, just so I’m clear do you recommend a Master Reset now even though the update is complete & appears to be functioning as it should? Or after the reset would I run the update again?

It’s always recommended to perform a master reset after such an upgrade, you do not need to reinstall anything, just performing the master reset.
