Infotaiment takes around 40% of the screen after update to 3.4.23188

Hi everyone! Thanks for doing great stuff, first of all.

I recently bought 2018 Lincoln Navigator, found this website and decided to update (details below). Update took around 7min because I skipped Voice and Maps. After restart, the infotaiment screen takes only part of the screen (top left side of the screen). Tried Master Reset and turning the car off for about 10min and turning back on.
Reverse camera works in fullscreen mode. Android auto as well, but touchscreen works only in the top left corner, so I can’t switch the apps at the bottom for example.

Please advise of how this could be fixed. I checked the updater app again, it doesn’t have 3.4.23188 as a current system so not sure if I can upgrade to the very latest or downgrade to any other version.

Hi.

Can you get forscan and an adapter?, you will need to change an asbuilt value for the 12 inch screen.

Thanks for quick replies! I actually found out how to use the search in this forum and found the problem and suggested fix. Spent half of the night on that, luckily I had OBD scanner which is compatible. Got ForScan trial license and managed to update the value (Lincoln Next → Lincoln MY20 10"). It’s fullscreen now.

Two things to add:

Would be nice to mention such known compatibility issues somewhere. They will happen to 100% of people in the same situation.
The most sad part of the story - I can’t really see any difference between old and new version except of version number. Everything is exactly the same (look, performance, features). So either Ford/Lincoln haven’t made any progress in this area between 2018 and 2025, or maybe something was not installed properly.

Anyway, at least it works now and I won’t touch it

They are all bug fixes for the most part. The last big GUI change was with 3.4 and there will probally never be a GUI update passed that.

Ford does not share their change logs so all we can do is guess and look for odbvous changes.

For Sync V3.0, there is actually 2 versions of the Sync app for 6/8" and 10" screens. 3.0.23219 and 3.0.23220 respectively. For your vehicle, it was never meant by Ford to be loaded with Sync 3.4, so there is no warnings or documentation from Ford to address this.
