Maps Won't Load After Update

I updated my 2017 Lincoln MKX Sync3 from 2.2.16280 to 3.4.23188 via usb drive. Download and update seemed to go perfect. Sync 3 started up fine as usual except for maps. A message , Loading Maps, with the spinning circle. Was still going when I turned it all off and exited the vehicle. Maybe that’s normal after a new update, I don’t know. Maybe the maps will finish loading after my first trip out of the garage. Any words of wisdom wi8ll be appreciated.

Syn3 Updater Log File

I have uploaded my logs to CyanLabs as requested after download to usb drive.

Have you master reset?..

Please share the log, stating that you uploaded it does not cut it since I’m not going to search for your log among hundred of logs without any specificity…

Thank you for your quick response. Sorry for mine being a bit slow. I did perform a master reset this morning after checking to see there was no improvement. The message on the map screen is now: “Navigation Fault”. Below is the download log.

Thank you for your help,

Tim

You told it not to install maps.

You also did not use a USB drive with 32GB to hold the maps.Never heard of that brand.

All you did was do a reformat to install the new SYNC version without maps. Get a bigger USB drive and do it all over again with the correct Sync software and maps.

Yep, that will do it…
Not installing maps will give you navigation fault, as it should…

Redo the USB after properly configuring Syn3updater.

OK. Thank you. I’ll get back to you after the new update is complete.

Thank you,

Tim
