Master Reset not working

My Sync 3.4.23188 system after every restart has these pop ups to connect to wifi and to enable auto updates. It happens every restart, I figured that is not not normal, also settings like dark mode changes once in a while without any reason. So my question is, Can I “reformat” my system to factory settings? I have tried the master reset but it freezes after hitting continue and does not restart.

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

Update Method: CyanLabs Manual Method

Provide a picture of the “about Sync” screen

Based on my memory, you are the first one to describe that issue on .23188.
Try creating and running an interrogator log against the unit to determine if the RWDATA partition is full.

I will link you to the solution for that error but on other builds, 23188 is not affected by that bug, but it has the exact same symphtons as yours → APIM Sync Settings Not Saving, VER_ERR08 Errors, Cannot Perform Master Reset or Upgrades/Updates (Solved)

When using the interrogator log usb option from the app when I create the usb it gives me the file GB5T-14G386-AD but on the website it says that for 23188 I should use GB5T-14G386-AE, when I click on the link I cannot find that specific file to download. No file

That’s ok, use what the tool gives you.

This is what I get from the interrogator log:

Yep, that’s it. This is really odd for that build.
Proceed with the solutions I’ve linked before:

If none of those work, we do not have anything else to recommend at the moment.

After making the RW Data cleaner usb and using it, I ran the interrogator again and it keeps saying there is no space “/fs/rwdata/ = 0 / 1.2G”.

I know you said that if this doesn’t work there is no other recommendation.
I just want to ask if I can “reinstall” everything either via reformat or downgrade option using Syn3 updater will work.

Did you even read the guide?, reformat is one of the solutions…

I did but since it said:

NOTE: All solutions below are no longer required since Ford has released an official fix, however for historical reasons they are listed below.

I figure out those options are not useful anymore.
I will try that, thank you!

Before Ford created the official rwdata cleaner tool (that works wonders as you can see, is a hit and miss), those other “historical” solutions were the ones users had to go through to solve the issue.

Sure, if the official tool worked you would not need to perform those. But since it’s not working for you, you will have to “solve it yourself”.

Out of curiosity, which build did you have before 23188?.
And also, are you a “heavy” CarPlay user?

I was able to clean the files through the jailbreak method and then do a master reset.
I don’t know which version I had before, I have been updating automatically. Yes I am a “heavy” CarPlay user.
