Missing Blocks/ Greyed out IPC remote start climate controls

I’m missing blocks, several 08/09, and the last functionality issue I have is that my climate control settings for RS are now handled b;y the APIM so the IPC section is greyed out. I believe this setting is in the 9 block of AB. Tell me what you need (APIM model, software version, etc) to correct this issue. RS still works, but is defaulting to last setting and I would like to enable auto.

Car is to old for any of these blocks to effect anything. You can see what the blocks do in the database.

This is just enabling the menus, not adding features. The modules must be able to support these features, which is likely yours do not.

Thank you for your help, I have read and can see what the blocks do before posting. That is why I inquired on the issue. 7D0-09-01 would be the block I’m after, specifically 7D0-09-01 ####-####-X#### because this is the block that my IPC handled with Sync2. After installing the Sync3, and making 0 .ab changes this menu became greyed out. After correcting .ab settings this menu is still greyed out in the IPC. After rebooting both modules and clearing all DTCs the issue persist. I would assume the APIM now handles this function, and it is unable to receive the IPC message, and repeat it to the HVAC. That is why I would like access to the block so I can restore function that worked prior to the retrofit.

I believe there is a misunderstanding here, I am not trying to enable a feature that does not exist. I am trying to fix a feature that was eliminated in the install. The reason I want to know if it is possible to unlock 09 blocks is because Sync3 likely now handles vehicle settings, including climate settings on RS, therefore it may not be setup to interpret and repeat the message from the IPC to the HVAC control (FCIM).

On the 2014 the IPC contains the settings for remote start and RS climate controls. I’m guessing ford made the APIM the new screen where this menu presents and messages originate. I’ll also mention i did lose 08-02 in the 3.4 update.

Not everything will be available since you’re using a system that was not designed for your vehicle. Sync 3 was introduced in 2016, while your vehicle is a 2014. Either way, have you deleted your Sync 2 profile and tried setting everything up again with Sync 3?

Sure have, as mentioned earlier I also lost block 0801 when updating to sync 3.4.

The issue could be that Sync3 was designed to handle auto start climate features from factory, even on early models. Though, this was passive and would allow for older architecture/builds to still repeat CAN signals from the BCM/IPC through the APIM and to the FCIM. The update to 3.4 possibly disabled the passive repeater state and set the APIM as the master of this function with all other modules becoming the slave. This is just a working theory because I did not tinker before updating from 3.2 to 3.4. That’s why I’m inquiring about the ability to unlock these feature sets on the APIM, to see if that is a possible solution.

I’ve worked with a lot of APIMs, and I’ve never encountered an issue like yours. Why don’t you try downgrading and see if those blocks come back and post your results

This is impossable. A Sync update does not rewrite the calibration files. Not even remotly possable.

That is not how CEGA 1.3 works.

Post your asbuilt…
