My original version was 3.0 Build 18093 as a Test I was able to update to Version 3.3 Build 19052. Now I want to go to 3.4 but it will not install.

I have tried to update to 3.4 26057 I get the screen popup saaying “Software Update Detected:” Do you want to proceed with the update installation, I click YES and that is all I get. I stayed in the car on the home screen for a 1/2 hour, and nothing. I scaled down the veersion to 3.4 19200 and had the same results. It see it but doesn’t install it. What can I do?

Download the latest version 3.4. 26057 again using your version 3.3.19052 as your current one.

Then do a sync master reset in the car if not already done and try the upload again, doing another master reset at the end if it is successful.

Same results, it recognizes that the update is there and asks me to proceed but then does not continue after I click YES. Is there a method (or is it safe) to force the update?

A) let syn3updater create the USB directly and try again
B) if A fails, create, run and share an interrogator log

The updater does not ask if you want to update. It just does it.

I start the car, I wait for the screen to go to the home screen, I plug in the USB and I get a screen saying Software Update Detected and at the bottom it says do you wish to proceed? I tap YES the screen disappears and that’s it. Nothing after that.

Are you downloading to your PC, then copying to a USB drive?

I’m asking because the file destination looks funny and the log says no USB drive selected.

If your unit shows “updating” and 2 hrs later still updating then i suggest to use Universal reformatting tool. I had a case couple times when updating process showing up but nothing really happens. So, now im just using reformatting tool and then version and packages what i want to install. Usually it takes less than 10 min without navy.

It doesn’t say updating, it acknowledges that there is an update available and asks me if I want to proceed then does nothing.

That could be the problem, download the files directly to the USB drive.
