MY20 or Not? Unsure and do not want to Brick

Got a new (used) Ford Focus today on a 2018 plate and the Software version on it is 3.0.20204.
Unsure if this has ever been replaced or upgraded, but tryingto do so over Wi-Fi is telling me there is no updates for it - when there clearly is!

Android Auto is not working with it (should it be?) and is the only reason I am looking to upgrade… but if it bricks, I’d rather just leave it alone.
Please adivse if I am safe to upgrade - Pastebin provided of the XML.

Looking to ugrade to the latest F13 Maps and latest version of the software (3.4.23188) that I hope then supports Android Auto?

That version already supports Android auto.
Run the interrogator utility and that will tell you what APIM you have installed.

OK, so I must be doing something weird. I’ve plugged two phones in and it doesnt come up, when it has done on some rentals I’ve had in the past.

Am I missing something?
Hunted through all the menus and no reference to Android Auto

APIM Model is JS7T-14G371-FDC
(Checking here - SYNC 3 APIM Hardware Database - CyanLabs appears its fine to upgrade).

Until you connect your phone to the Sync unit it will not appear, as you have seen with the others. The APIM is fine to upgrade to Sync 3.4. You should not have to replace the USB hub but is there is an issue with the hub it could also cause this problem.

After much more faffing about with it, I reset my APIM to factory and connected the phone and it’s come up! Odd.

And simply because I can - I’m going to upgrade now!
