No bluetooth audio after update to 3.4.

Hello

About 14 days ago I have successfuly upgraded from 3.0 to 3.4 on Mondeo mk5 2018. Or at least thats what I thought :sweat_smile:

Then I found out that I have no bluetooth audio. All my phones connect ok but I cannot hear any sound from the caller or if I play music via youtube.
There is also no sound when connecting my phone through android auto.

Things I have tried so far:

-Unpairing phones on sync and unpairing my car on my phone and then pairing again
-Done a soft reset and a master reset.
-Disconnected my car batter for 30 mins.

I really have no idea what to do.
Any help would be appreciated

You did not mention if you tried to turn the volume up on the radio when you should be hearing something from your phone? Sometimes with an upgrade some of the volume settings for the different sources go to zero.

Yes..I was going to mention that as it appears to be a blutooth issue and we assume the radio plays ok.

Also if voice is available it would be handy to know if sound works re SatNav.

As far as USB music is concerned, if sound volume does not work it could be more about how the music was downloaded.

The volume on the phone is at max and I think I tried turning it up on the radio aswell.

Will check for sure.

Is it possible to revert back to 3.0 so I can see if the bluetooth audio starts working again?

Just to make sure we are on the same page….you need to turn the volume up on sync only whilst the caller is speaking to you rather than the phone volume.

If you have tried this I apologize.

What phone? Recent iPhone 17’s are having issues with this and CP. Well documented on Apple forums.

I cant believe I didnt check the volume on sync. Really silly from me hehe.

Anyway I just turned the volume knob on sync and that did the trick.

No problem…the same applies to adjusting the volume of the voice on SatNav if you have that.
