Preset pages still radomly resets to 2 after upgrade tp 3.4.23188

Before upgrading, I was experiencing an issue where my preset pages would reset from 4 back to 2. When this occurred, I also noticed that Android Auto / CarPlay would reset and require full setup again.

After researching, I found reports of a bug related to the /fs/rwdata/ partition filling up. I confirmed this using the Interrogator USB, ran the RW Data Cleaner USB, and then upgraded to version 3.4.23188.

I expected the upgrade to resolve the issue, but the preset pages are still resetting.

Below is the Interrogator log captured immediately after the presets reset:

Ok, thank you!! I’ll do it and report back.

I did a master reset, confirmed all settings were wiped out. I ran the RWDATA cleaner and power cycled. This is the interrogator log after that power cycle:

If you ran the rwdata cleaner and performed a master reset, that’s not good since it’s not clearing it up. It’s very strange to see the master reset succeeding but not erasing that.

If I were you, I would start considering jailbreaking(*) the unit so that you could reformat it with FMODS’ universal reformat package, that can handle MY20 hardware.

(*)we do not support jailbreak

I’ve seen something like this before.

Downgrade to 3.4.21265 (which is before the RWData bug was introduced), do a master reset, run the RWData cleaner again by itself, then run the interrogator.

If its clean, update to 3.4.23188
