Hello. I want to update Sync 3.0 to 3.4 without navigation in a 2018 Ford Escape. I’ve already done this in my other Ford, and everything went according to the instructions. There seems to be a problem here. I’m doing everything as shown in the pictures. I need to change the region from USA to EU. I start creating a flash drive, and it takes a very short time, about 3 seconds, and I get a message that the process was successful. I think it should take about 15 minutes. The flash drive is almost empty, and it should take up about 8GB. I haven’t tried inserting the flash drive into the car.
Thank you very much for the tip. I was too influenced by how it looked in the previous car. The process of creating a USB drive has probably changed recently, because the previous car didn’t include this step of checking the current Sync version in the car. That could be, but it’s been like it is for a while now, but I’m not sure how long ago did you update the other car… Or maybe your current app configuration is a bit different…
Anyways, if the USB is ready, then you are ready to go.
The other issue you may have if this is a US vehicle imported to the EU is that the US non-NAV APIMs only have 8Gb of storage, the EU units have 16Gb due to the additional languages.
