After I updated my device to 22251v, it starts mostly in the factory setting…Language returns to english,dashbord,source - returns to FM or AM,voice control doesn´t work…Does it mean the device malfunction?Regards

Go to Settings > General > Master Reset, as stated in the last step of the tutorial.

I’ve just noticed your previous build was also 3.4…
Did you upgrade it for any particular reason?, did the previous version worked ok?.

Ok then, I suspect this will be fixed by performing a master reset, which is required when reformatting (which you did).

Sad to hear that, “hardware failure” starts to ring in my head.
Although I have to say 21265 is reported to be the most stable build among the latest ones.

Just to gather more information, can you create an interrogator log and run it against the apim?, post the results back here (redact your VIN from the file’s title and content if you care about it).

At this point, you do not have a lot of options.
Whatever is causing this behavior should not be Sync3 version related, this looks like a corrupted installation or hardware.

Here are your options:

  • Reinstall 3.4.2165 to see if that solves it
  • Reinstall everything to get a fresh installation again

Sync3 is proprietary, it’s Ford’s.
Run the interrogator log.

You can recreate a reformat USB that will install everything (SYCN3+MAPS) as before, or you just can try switching Sync3 versions without touching maps (Autoinstall, it won’t reformat the unit).

Panasonic is one of the companies that makes the unit, @SaNdMaN

None of it is made by Ford. It is all 3rd party. The ford logos are licensed for production.

You might want to have the charging system checked for a bad regulator.

The unit JL7T14G371FCC is a Ford Service replacement, although NOT MY20+.
