Hi, i need some help please, i am trying to update from 3.4.19101 to 20351, but i have problems with red screen when extracting files of gracenotes, i do not know what to do, i had no nav and my region is ANZ. What should i do?
Post your log. From that red screen, I need to ask: did you force an install method?.
You can always omit gracenote installation.

i forced reformat cause when i was doing it with the normal autoinstall method it keeps installing over an hour and nothing happens
Well, you ended up with the red screen because you forced reformat.
I don’t know why people keep forcing installation methods without fully understanding what they are doing. If the normal installation was not proceeding, why force anything?
Anyway, look at the tutorial I pasted you, that covers issues like yours.
Installation didn’t proceed because your APIM may not have enough free space to a normal autoinstall.
Try removing gracenotes and try again.
Once the unit is operative, you may be able to install gracenotes separately.

How did you create it?, manually or via syn3updater?
Do not install gracenotes at this moment, unselect it and then proceed.

you can’t run the interrogator if you are stuck at that screen, you need to just install without maps, looks like you are
a. installing EU maps on a NA unit
b. installing maps on a non nav unit
THEY WILL NOT FIT!
actually you are trying to fit gracenotes on a APIM which won’t fit it.
i´m not installing maps, first i was trying to update by normal autoinstall method, but after an hour it didn´t work, it just keeps stuck at “updating software system”, so i forced reformat method, Why? Because the last year i update from 3.0 to 3.4 by this method because i got the same problem then, so i thought it will work this time, but know i am stuck at the reformat screen and can´t continue. So what should i do?

I can´t run the interrogator and can´t remove gracenotes
install without gracenotes, then you can figure out how to fix that once you are back up and running.
Sorry, it may seem I was not clear enough.
What I mean by “remove gracenotes”, is to remove them from the installation.
Just edit the reformat.lst and remove that line, so that it’s not installed.

Awesome. Yes, you can use the utility now.
Based on that and the other thread I’ve sent you, you will see if installing gracenotes is possible on your unit.
If not, not big deal: it’s just art work for the media player…
As @SaNdMaN says above, use the utility and see what the free space is on the unit. The -BB Gracenotes file will probably not fit, but you may be able to use 4U5T-14G423-DB 566Mb Sync3 v3.3.20178 1.1.1.2220 (GL-0011) (24.05.2020): ANZ (8).

Hi, me again, have a new problem, when i try to run the utility it says, PKG ERR04, i created it via syn3updater.
At this point, you lost me.
Not sure what you are trying to do, or how… or why…
That error means you are trying to use the reformat tool in a 3.4 build, which is not possible since it’s been blacklisted in 3.4s releases…
What Sync version are you on now?
Are you talking about the APIM Utility? Use version -AC.
