I have an Australian 2013 Ford Focus ST. It has been converted from sync 1 to sync 3. Everything works correctly, except the reversing camera picture quality is very poor. Is this to be expected, or is one of my settings wrong. The camera is set ntsc, if I set it to pal the quality is worse and then drops out after a few seconds.
If you used an adapter harnass with an RCA plug this would be the case. You can wire the camera directly to the APIM which would likely solve the issue.
Unless you rewire the camera to the APIM without using the RCA connector. There are several threads here about Sync 1 to 3 conversions and the camera issues.
