Just about to release the new app, before i do perhaps people here can do some final testing?
Unlike FordSyncDownloader it auto detects what install method you need, no need for “manual configuration”
Even the downgrade method is automated 
Seems like security software is preventing it from loading to me.

please HELP… trying the new sync3 updater and was successful writing a usb to update my 2020 explorer with 3.4 20136 to 20196… understand a downgrade is part of the process to update… started well with usb recognized and screen showing to be updating… after 15ish minutes screen went blank/black and many minutes later still NOTHING… now i have NOTHING… what to do if you can help PLEASE
kill the power to the APIM and try again (disconnect battery)

Hi - I’ve got problems with the program getting stuck as per the photos. Using a brand new 64gb sandisk usb, windows 7. Any ideas?
There have been several issues like this reported here and they seem to have the Sandisk USB’s in common. Try another brand, 32GB preferably. I have used the Kingston Travellers with no issues.
Post the log file, please. Downgrade is not necessary for 20136 to 20196.

If the unit is still black and will not boot, no boot screen, try this…
Make a new autoinstall.lst file to replace the original. Save the original autoinstall.lst file somewhere other than on the usb as you will need it later. The autoinstall file looks like this:

Once you run this, the unit should reboot to version 3.3.
Make sure the unit looks ok, at this point it might only have the app loaded on the unit, but that’s ok.
Run this and see if the unit will come back.

Am on Version: 3.4.20136 and i want to update to 196. Follow SYN3 UPDATER instructions and download 196 to usb. After that put usb to car and it auto-downgrade , auto-reformat and auto-install the 196. Is that ok?
Any futher steps from me?
if you are updating maps thats the process it will do if you are not updating maps it will simply do a autoinstall

appreciate the thoughts… but all worked well on my 2018 f150 3.4 20196 and forscan changes make the truck great !!!
Could you do a quick test for me? Using the usb audio, like music on a stick, press the next > or rewind < buttons on the FCIM and see if it skips 2 songs or it works normally. The steering wheel controls will work fine, but the FCIM (Volume knob and buttons) seems to have some oddities on different year and model vehicles.
