Sync 1 to sync 3 upgrade no volume

Hello guys,

I recently upgraded my Sync 1 system to Sync 3, and I’ve been trying to figure out an issue for weeks. My volume doesn’t work at all. The volume buttons on the steering wheel respond, but when I press them, the volume indicator pops up on the screen and stays at 0. There is no sound from the system whatsoever.

I’ve been trying to troubleshoot it myself, but I’m stuck and could use some help with the FORScan settings. Has anyone experienced this issue or know what modules or settings I should check?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you modify the As-Built data? If you upgraded from SYNC 1 to SYNC 3, the As-Built settings need to be adjusted for your vehicle

Yes I’ve tried to change the apim as built on forscan but I don’t think I’m putting in the right numbers could someone send me the right data sheet

No need for a data sheet. All Sync 3 APIM’s are the same AB.

Also, when I first installed Sync 3, the sound was working, but it was stuck at a set volume. I couldn’t actually change it, though the steering wheel button still showed the volume at 0. I started changing different settings in FORScan to try to fix it, and now I have no sound at all

Your welcome, you could have also said please.
