Hello everyone, I drive a Tourneo Custum built in 2019. I have now installed my Sync from 3.023219 to 3.4.23188 via the Syn3updater. This went smoothly without an error message or anything similar.
Now I wanted to use Forscan and Obdlink ex
set the “Silent mode” in the Apim. I only work with “Clear text” not with “Asbuilt”.
However, I cannot find the “Silent mode” or “Centre stack” entries in the Apim.
I can only find the “Silent mode” entry in the IPC, but nothing happens when I activate it.
I also can’t get Driver Assistance to be displayed in Sync. The Driver Assistance display is not even shown to me in Sync. What could be the reason for this?
I hope you can help me. I’m still relatively new to the subject so please try to explain it to me very simply, that would be very kind. :sweat_smile: Thank you.

Hello, your English is quite good, at least I was able to understand you without issues.

What do you mean by that?, where are you unable to find it?.

Before making any modification, it’s a good practice to save your current asbuilt data for the APIM, so that if you change something by accident (or produces a negative effect), you could revert back to the last good known configuration.

Also, have you checked our Sync 3 APIM Database ?
It has listed many settings, at least 2 of what you want to change are there…

You’re not going to find center stack settings in a pre-2020 APIM.

I can’t find the entries in the Apim module when I read it with Forscan.

Ok, that means I can’t get the driver assistance display in Sync with the current firmware of the Apim module. Or is there another way?
Or can/must I update/flash the Apim module? If so, how do I do that?

Flash requires ForScan 2.4.x and a paid license.
There’s also a risk with it that you’ll brick the APIM.
Not everything works in the center stack for pre-2020 vehicles as the car won’t have fully compatible modules.
As an example in my 2018 Fusion with a 2020 APIM I can display remote start, but can’t change any of the settings other than off/on, I can change all in the IPC.
My car also has front collision warning and braking, these do not display at all, nor does the lane keeping aid.

Ok, thank you. I now have the Forscan 2.4.14 beta and will try to update my Apim.
