This error means that the packages are blacklisted. I am assuming you are trying to do the reformat while in SYNC 3.4.19274+. You first need to select the downgrade option and then try the install again once you are on 3.3.
You can also use the manual method in the downloader to select the upgrade packages. This will allow you to upgrade without a reformat. This route might be more beneficial to you.

Hi, I come from China and I cannot download the sync3.4 20196 app file while all the other files can be downloaded correctly.The download link address of the app file is “http://ivsu.binaries.ford.com/swparts/5U5T-14G381-EG_1598634070000.TAR.GZ”. So could anyone confirm the download issue and any help is welcome! Thanks.
I don’t think this is the issue but restart the app, i have made it https instead of http, maybe there is some weird http restriction

can you download it from the url directly? if not then you have some issue your end or a ip block on ford’s azure blob

Just updated from 20136. I was also initially on 3.0.19205 on an old JR3T-14G381 (8GB/nonNAV) unit!
The latest 20136 is amazing and it integrates beautifully with iOS 14.

Installed on my 2019 S-Max and the Front Camera is not Wirkung anymore. Rear
Camera is okay, but the button for Frontcamera is wothout function

NM market 2017 Taurus. The dual climate button is backwards. Shows on when off and vice versa.
Known issue unfortunately
I had to downgrade from 20136 to get to 20196. Thanks to all for info. I tried the manual way, no luck. But, I think i may have had a bad usb thumb drive. I ended up getting another usb drive and did the downgrade option, then update to 20196 went without a hitch.

Weird issue after using 20136 for a couple days. Not sure if it’s an Apple CarPlay issue or Sync 3 issue… when using Waze for nav, the volume on the wheel and the center stack only change the prompt volume. I have the microphone disabled in the Waze app in my phone. If I go in and enable then disable again, the volume controls work properly again. I have to do this every time I use Waze. Anyone else seeing this or have any additional info they can share on a resolution? Thanks
