Sync 3.4.21098 - Feedback & Issues

Simple fast update …what’s new?

I loaded the file with “old map” and now I have a gps fault. The navigation worked fine before

So i loses the file without the new maps and now my navi doesn’t work at all. Soooo awesome. It worked before and now nothing

Thanks…updated with no issues and seems to be working well.

On a side note, made a small donation too

Try a master reset and power cycle the ignition after. Wait for the unit to completely shut down, takes about 30 seconds to a minute sometimes.

Ford Kuga 2018 after the installation from 3.4.21020 to 3.4.21098 everything stopped working. only the radio was playing, the radio station could not be changed. the station logos were not displayed. The radio showed 00:00. parking sensors did not work. steering wheel controls did not work. the system reset option was not available I had to reset the system with a key combination. everything is back to normal after the reset.

Good afternoon everyone!

I just upgraded, Ford Mondeo 2018, 3.421098. It went well and is running smoothly. The differences … I can’t distinguish.

Thanks .

Just updated on my 2017 F-150. Same issue as the last update. Channel buttons are offset after a screen change for any reason(call, alert, etc.) See images below. Install went fine. Performed the Master reset and cycled the power.

Was there a difference?

This is like one of those puzzle’s pics where you have to find the difference between the two …I give up can’t find them🥴

The station buttons are offset by 2/3 on the left and 1/3 on the right. That’s the only issue I have with it. 3.4.21020 did the same thing for me. I have not seen anyone else have this issue.

My buttons … don’t look like that …, blank, like those in your photos, when you tune in to a radio station.

Is this the original APIM or a replacement? Have you updated the firmware? Will the buttons slide to each side by swiping left or right to the correct position?

Isn’t that because they swipe from left to right now and not fixed.

Updated my Indian EcoSport sync 3 to 3.4.21098. It works like a charm. Faster Android auto response and overall screen UI.

Not sure if Navigation works on MID for apple carplay. Works well with Android auto

However do check the available memory space in your APIM before installing.

Had quite the day. Recently upgraded my Fusion from Sync 1 to 3. Tried to install the last update 21020 with new maps. The update worked but the maps remained the same. Used syncupdater to try the downgrade method and the new update 21098. Worked great!! Only took 30 minutes total. So far the only things I can tell that are different is the Radio Screen is different somehow but can’t explain exactly what it is. Also the climate control screen buttons are now orange when you turn them on as before they were blue. Other that that everything works great. Added the calm screen also. Unable to get the HD Radio icons as I live in the US.

Not sure if this may just be something with my system but on previous versions (both 19101 and 21020) when using Android Auto the transition from voice/prompt to music wasn’t perfect. Usually I have voice/prompt volume a little higher and once a prompt completed and returned to music it would hold that same volume for a brief moment before going to the designated audio/music volume. Seems it’s been resolved now. The transition is super smooth, no delay or odd volume issues. Same exact phone (Pixel 4a). Also tried with multiple audio sources including AA apps as well as USB and FM sources in Sync itself.

F150Chief. All original equipment. The firmware has not been updated that I know of. The buttons do slide to each side by swiping and I can correct the alignment by swiping. So the only issue is the alignment is off when I start the truck or if the screen refreshes after an alert, call, text, etc. I may try to do another Master Reset and see if that makes any difference. Stay tuned.

Master reset fixed the issue until I cycled the power.
