F12 is the current EU map, released in 2023. Map data is from the Q4/2022 Here map database.
The new maps (guessing these will be F13) for the EU haven’t been released yet.

Many thanks for that info “warlock12118”. I wasn’t sure if there had been an issue with the update to 3.4 as when I selected the EU maps is showed as “EU - 2024-06-10 - 1717992796” so assumed (wrongly) they were the latest.
I will keep my eye on the website for/if Ford release F13. F12 still a lot better than my orginal F7.

If Ford do release F13 you wont be able to get it as you’re out of scheme. You will have to use synupdater

Updated to 3.4.23188. Got updated maps and everything went smoothly… Have the same issue I always do with some Sirius channel graphics missing after Master Reset but they should be back in a week or two.

Just updated from Sync 2.0.16074 to Sync 3.4.23188 in an attempt to fix an issue I was having with the APIM not remembering bluetooth devices and not recognizing an Apple phone and starting Apple CarPlay. Been dealing with this issue for some time now, and I thought my only option was to replace the APIM (not economically feasible right now). Only issue I had was the first time, the system recognized the USB and indexed it, but would not automatically start the update. I was lazy and I didn’t want to go to the store for a USB 3.0 device, so I just recreated the USB drive on the 2.0 I had. Tried it again, and the update started successfully. It took about 7.5 minutes to update and all of the issues I had were gone!

Now a full year since this last Sync 3.4 update. I’ll be surprised if there is another one.

Yeah, I doubt it since sync4 is now out for the latest models. They may produce minor updates to fix known bugs like they did with sync version 3.0 on the models up to 2019.

Hello, I am using this latest update (3.4.23188) since 2023 August. In the last 1-2 months one annoying “feature” came up. (I dont know how, because I did not update anything since the install). So when I start the car and the Sync system boots up, every time the system message comes: Do I want automatic update, and Do I want to send system diagnostic to Ford. Anything I choose (yes/no and confirm/ask me later) does not help, the next start will come up again.
I tried to restart the system, I tried master reset, but nothing helped, this message always comes up. Anyone else had/has this problem? Any suggestion, how to turn this off for good? Thanks a lot!
Create and share an interrogator log, we need to determine if your rwdata partition is full.
Also: are you a “heavy” car play user?
Yes, I use carplay every time, so we can say heavy.
Unfortunately I can not create the interrogator log, because I have a Mac computer, and can not install the Sync3 Updater.
But that didn’t stop you from upgrading, right?.
You will have to manually create one then.

Can we conclude that ver. 23188 is the last ever update and that the plucky but long toothed Sync 3.4 has been hurled into the Pit of Ordure ?

No one knows for sure as there may be ‘amendments’ down the track as they did with version 3.0.20204 whan they released 3.0.23219 some time later.
However sync4 is now the go as you know.
Ford was right on the 5 year since release point (auto manufacturers are required to maintain service inventory of major parts for 5 years and Sync3 is a “part”) when 3.4.23188 & 3.0.23219 were created.
The 3.3.x/3.4.x fork was released in the 2019’s which hit production in Q3/2018 and one of the last models to use 3.0.x was the 2019MY Escape, so they now have a final version/revision.
Only time will tell. If security issues arise down the road they are sure to patch them at least.
Successfully updated our 2017 Explorer Platinum from 2.0.16074 to 3.4.23188!!
I tried updating via wifi, then USB via Ford and after trying both multiple times, even tried to have our local Ford dealer update it. They said they currently will not because of issues bricking SYNC systems…
Used the Syn3 Updater and all went smoothly! So far things seem to all be working. Thank you!
