Sync 3.4 on Ford Explorer 2013, no rear camera, needs to press power button to turn on APIM and climate not working

Hi, i just swapped a Sync 2 APIM to a SYNC 3.4 unit, working well, but the rear camera is not working, and the APIM doesn’t start when the car starts, i need to press the power button.
1 week after, the car just got discharged. Even the clock doesn’t run when turned off.

I uploaded the As-Built from OBD2 extracted from Ford Motorcraft website.

APIM model is: GR26ALS7T-14G370-BCG

First problem, you can’t use the factory AB for a vehicle that came with MFT/Sync2 on a Sync3 vehicle.

Your best starting point would be using the AB from a 2017 Explorer with the same options as yours since that year was the first year the Explorer got Sync3.

Hi, I’m still trying to understand the As-Built thing, I’m new on this.

I tried using the non As-Built version, and trying to making adjustents by searching on Internet, but nothing.

I don’t understand well where to put and correct which line of code to change, etc.

I understand that i can’t upload the entire Ford Explorer 2017 As-Built, or I’m wrong?

Sorry my ignorance, I’m new on this.

PS: Now i just saw that the screen remains on when i turn off the car or the APIM when i press the power button, and if i press it with the car turned off, the APIM starts.

Forscan will only load the AsBuilt for the module you’re working in, it doesnt have the ability to load every module at once.

So, the AsBuilt pulled as indicated above, in ForScan go to APIM, AsBuilt, Do Not Hit Load Factory. Pick load from file, select the AB you downloaded and select write all.

Ignore the block count mismatch warning if you’re loading into a K or Above series APIM.
