Sync 3 Master reset freezing

I have a 2019 Ford f150 with the current Sync 3 .
It will no longer remember my Bluetooth connection. I have to pair every time I start the truck.
Master reset does not work, just freezes . Iv don’t a bunch of soft resets .
Iv tried re-updating the sync with no fix.
Iv tried RW data cleaner .

Nothing seems to help, but I came across this wonderful forum with lots of good answers for other problems, hoping someone is able to help me !

SYNC Region: NA

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Install Type: OEM

Old SYNC Version: 3.4.23188

New SYNC Version: 3.4.23188

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
No errors, just freezes

Update Method: Official Ford

Check and see if you’re on the recall list for issues with the APIM.

I’d try downgrading to 3.4.21265 (doesn’t require a reformat), followed by either pulling the battery cable for 35 minutes or letting the truck sit overnight and then running the RWData cleaner.

If all is well then update it back to 3.4.23188

Good morning.

Unfortunately I’m not on the recall list.

I have let the truck sit overnight with battery disconnected, as well as sync fuse pulled .

As mentioned I have tried the cleaner but no change :frowning: .

How do I go about downgrading only to that version?

Thanks !

Based on your description, your rwdata partition is full. Were you able to run the interrogator log?.

Anyways, all known recovery methods are documented in this thread → APIM Sync Settings Not Saving, VER_ERR08 Errors, Cannot Perform Master Reset or Upgrades/Updates (Solved)

If none of those work, we do not have anything else to recommend at the moment.

Hello.

Yes I initially ran the interrogator, and it did show there was Zero room. I did the RWdata cleaner after that, no change.

But I didn’t run another log to confirm the storage changes. I’ll do that now !

Thanks for the direction!! i ran another log. and another clean, and it wont clear the RWdata?

This morning I have tried another RWdata clean after 2 soft resets. No change on Available storage.

I tried the reformatting tool and got error “Error Code: PKG_ERR04”

I tried the same tool again but with the auto downgrade and got error “Error Code: VER ERR08”

Do a search for this here and you will find all kinds of solutions.

I have been exercising them all with no success, formatt, dataclean, downgrade, update, all Multiple times in different configurations with soft resets and battery disconnects :frowning:

Hello.

I do not want to sound like a broken record, but:

You are not the first user to have that issue, although you should not have that issue on your current build, the root cause is the same (rwdata partition being full).

You need to perform a recovery based on what’s documented in that guide.
Other than that, we have nothing more to say at the moment.
