The new Ford package contains the following files:
Sync 3.4.20282.Application 5U5T-14G381-EK.tar.gz New NA Gracenotes 4U5T-14G423-CB.tar.gz New APIM Interrogator Utility GB5T-14G386-AD.tar.gz
Hardware and software check files. This is packaged for NA with NAV Sync units. This package does not include a new app voice file.
Autoinstall.lst:
; SYNC3 Consumer Assembly Upgrade - Release 3.4.50 - Only for Nav/NA assemblies.
Are you saying the package was just updated with those files or if i updated to 282 a few days back i already have the New Gracenotes and APIM Interrogator?
If you used the package from the Ford Owner site you should have the latest files. If you look at the IVSU screen in the test menu it will show the file versions, or run the APIM Interrogator Utility and look at the xml file.
If you used the Syn3 Updater, you probably do not have the new Gracenotes file for NA.
@CyanLabs there is a new Gracenotes file for NA above.
The first 2 items in the Ford package are storage and hardware checks that are performed before the installation can proceed. If these fail, the installation will not start. This means that if you try to install the Ford package on a vehicle that Ford does not authorize, the installation will not proceed. The CyanLabs packaging does not have these restrictions.
Thanks for reply!
I see,my SYNC current version is 3.4 20282. when I use Syn3 Updater ,should I chose sync3.4 20282 again? and the download list show Apps/Voice/Maps etc… but I have got 3.420282 ,when I just chose map the Syn3 Updater tell me “you don’t chose app you’ll balabala…”
But I just want to update the map I have got the newest SYNC ,so if I update maps I must reinstall 3.4 20282 with reformat ???
if so I should give up the Map ,After all the update only 8.3Mb ,make a big fuss over a minor issue.
Entering my vin on the Ford website unfortunately tells me that everything is up to date. It’s not offering me the new version. It’s a 2019 Ford Focus MK4
Go to the SiriusXM website and send a radio refresh to your car. Make sure you are in clear sky, not in a garage, etc. This sometimes works to get the logos back.
