I have a Ford Fusion 2013 imported from US market. The car originally had a SYNC 2 system but I removed the module and replaced it with Sync 3 (the new Module is 64GB; meaning a European module) including the USB hub. I also installed a GPS antenna. Everything worked like a charm but for a reason I can get hold of, I could not turn the navigation on. I tried to use Sync Updater and download a RAW MAP (Rest of World Map, including Middle East) as well as the latest Sync version but it did not work out!. It returns me a pkg004 error or something like this.
Do you have any idea of how to solve this and how to install the MAP?
Please note that the new Sync 3 module I installed came from Europe, the 64GB version.
As long as none of the components are MY20, then you will be good.
As said before, depending on your current location, you will need to perform some changes.
Just a disclaimer, Cyanlabs does not support changing region, which does not mean you won’t be able to find information about the process.
I did the tutorial step-by-step and had already taken backups of my modules AB data. I also prepared the USB as set in the tutorial but I still get that pkg004 error
Then you have misconfigured Syn3updater.
That error states you are trying tu use the reformat on a later 3.4.xxxx build.
Post the log for the USB creation please.
