I just hope you didn’t try 3 pendrives like this
I mean, your computer can’t even name it, so it seems cheap or generic.
Try using a quality branded pendrive first, if you have one. Or try getting a good one.
We are also assuming you do not have any other device (sd card reader, pendrive, disk, etc) connected to the vehicle when you are attempting this.

And as you mentioned, it was a faulty usb hub that was causing the issue.
If you are already on the reformat phase, the only way to recover the unit is to complete the process.
