turn-by-turn nav not working on fiesta mk8

I purchased a N1BT-10849-FAE digital cluster from a mk8 fiesta and installed it into my mk8 followed by pasting the as-built of the original cluster into the new digital cluster’s config.
everything’s been working fine ever since except for one thing and that’s the turn-by-turn navigation on carplay that I really want to get working.
I’ve looked at this forum: “Android auto dash directions” but haven’t had success.
is there anything else I can do? firmware maybe?

Sounds more like a bad config in the cluster.

Does the factory NAV work correctly?

yes the NAV on the sync unit is working as well as using the sync NAV on the cluster, it does work on the cluster just not with carplay. idk what’s wrong but I guess it might have to do with the software?

That’s a Car Play issue not a Sync3 issue.

The Sync3 OS only handles CP/AA NAV apps that meet the required compatibility requirements.

eg with Android Auto, Google Maps works and displays on the IPC but Sygic & Here do not.
