I have gone through multiple time trying to update to the latest 3.4 SW version. I originally attempted to install the entire package with GN and received notice of SW detected would you like to install. When I click yes nothing happens. I found an article in this forum that stated try running this without the GN file. When I due this I get an Error
I just uploaded the log file. I went in and removed GN file off my APM to create more space I now have 2.4G available but it is still not updating to the latest 3.4.22020 version.
The voice file and app combination are too large to fit in 2.4GB. You will need to replace the voice file with the US English voice file, then do the upgrade with the Sync app and EU voice. Or do them one at a time.
To automate the above process, you can use the autoinstall.lst file below to remove Gracenotes and install Sync 3.3.19052 with the NA (US English) voice file. This process will also write the APIM Interrogator file to the USB.

You need to follow the tutorial and do this one step at a time to make room for the installation for 3.4. The autoinstall.lst examples are in the tutorial.
You MUST do this first; the installation needs to be split for the 8GB APIM’s. DO NOT install GN.

Now, once that is completed, use the Syn3 Updater to make a Sync 3.4 install usb.
In the setup tab, set up the updater to present version: 3.3.19052, NA, NO NAV. Apply settings.
In the home tab, select 3.4.21265, NA, NO NAV (Maps).
Select 'Start" and let the app make the usb, etc.
